↘ about the artist

Hi, I'm Adèle.

I came to tattooing through illustration. Trained at RISD, four years designing jewellery in the Diamond District, then a quiet apprenticeship in LA before I opened the Bed-Stuy studio in 2019.

I work in single-needle and fine-line, mostly small pieces, mostly on hands and wrists, mostly in quiet mornings. The studio is the spare bedroom. The kettle is in the kitchen. The cat — Margot — has the run of the place.

What people say after.

Adèle drew on tracing paper for an hour before she touched my skin. The piece is exactly what I asked for because she actually listened. Worth the four-month wait.

I flew in from London for a single afternoon. The studio smells like jasmine, the cat sits by the chair, and the work itself is the cleanest single-needle I've seen in person. Already planning my next.

She talks you through every step. By the time the needle starts, you feel like you've already met her. The piece healed jewellery-clean. Worth every dollar.

The morning light, the kettle on the desk, the cat curled near the chair — and then this delicate piece on the inside of my wrist. I keep catching myself looking at it.

Booked four months out and worth every day of the wait. Adèle's hand is the steadiest I've sat under. The piece reads like a piece of jewellery, not a tattoo.

↘ before you visit —The house notes.

A small apartment studio means a small set of things to know. Mornings are quietest; consultations are unhurried; everything else is in writing.

Margot. She'll probably sit near the chair while we work. Doesn't bite, doesn't shed too much, has opinions about consultations. Allergic? Tell me when you book and I'll keep her in the back room with the door closed.
